Our commitment to health & Safety

The Health & Safety of the MDM community is our top priority as we work to bring everyone back together safely.  We’re taking our responsibility as event producers seriously and are working closely with the venue, vendors and local health officials to ensure your health is at the forefront of this event.

planning a safe in-person event

Amidst continued health concerns around Covid-19 and the Delta variant, we know that business and life must go on.  The best thing we can do for the wholesale distribution industry is bring the community together to enable collaboration and commerce.

Large and small business conferences are happening safely across the country. This is mostly because event organizers are taking extra precautions to create safe environments, and almost all participants support these enhanced measures.

We are doing everything in our power to plan for a safe and healthy in-person event.

creating safe spaces

We are focused on having everyone arrive at the conference healthy and leave healthy.

Currently state of Illinois mask mandates recommend that both vaccinated and non-vaccinated people wear masks in public settings to limit the spread of coronavirus.  We are following the state and hotel recommendation.

Masks are currently required in all public areas of the hotel (as of 9/16/21). However, the area of the hotel where MDM is holding the conference is considered a private location; therefore we are relying on our attendees to make this decision for themselves based on vaccination status.

Masks will be available at the registration desk.

Meeting Spaces

MDM has secured an entire section of the conference center  to ensure that our attendees are separated from other events and hotel guests.  The floor space is designed to support social distancing measures. We will continue to work with the state of Illinois to abide by their local mandates.

  • Seating capacities are limited per table. Chairs will be placed to ensure adequate social distancing.
  • Aisles and traffic flow areas will be wider to support social distancing
  • Hotel staff will consistently clean and disinfect of high touch areas
  • Meals and receptions will be in larges spaces with plenty of room for social distancing.

Cleanliness and Sanitation Standards

Stringent sanitization protocols are one of the most effective means available of keeping our community safe and healthy. So we are going above and beyond to ensure that we keep all spaces sanitized, and each participant has access to do the same.

  • Mask and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the conference center.
  • Hotel staff clean all high traffic and high touch areas throughout the day, including restrooms, elevator buttons, railings, door handles, etc..
  • Each meeting room is thoroughly sanitized between session and at the end of each day.
  • The Loew’s hotel is one of the first hospitality brands to receive the WELL HealthSafety Rating for Facility Operations and Management through the
International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), the global authority on healthy buildings

Hotel Standards

Cleaning Standards
Loew’s everyday standards include cleaning guestrooms, meeting rooms, outlets, corridors and public areas with a Peroxide Multi Surface Cleaner and Disinfectant, an EPA approved product effective against emerging viral pathogens including COVID-19.

Housekeeping Options
When you check-in, the front desk team will let you know what options are available at that specific property. You may decide to not have service, or allow us to do some daily tidying up. Regardless, we are happy to provide fresh linens, towels and/or bath amenities, dropped right at your guest room door in a sealed bag.

we'll communicate frequently

This is a dynamic process intended to keep guests, vendors and staff’s health top of mind.  We’ll adjust as needed and communicate changes clearly and quickly some you can stay in the know.

We have made contingency plans. All financial commitments to Sales GPS Conference include a 100% money back guarantee through October 15 should you wish to cancel due to Covid-19. If the government mandates closures, we will convert Sales GPS Conference to a virtual event.

Cancellation Policy

Written cancellations received prior to October 15, 2021 will be refunded in full. MDM will continue to monitor COVID-19 and any impact it may have on an in-person 2021 Sales GPS Conference.
